Shocking: Ulema Council dubs Lucknow Shootout as ‘fake encounter’, says hate being spread against Muslims in country

Days after Islamic States backed terrorists Saifullah was killed in a shootout dirung ajoint operation by the Uttar Pradesh Police and Anti-Terrorist squad, the head of Rashtriya Ulema Council Aamir Rashadi had called it a “fake encounter”, a report by ‘Amar Ujala’ has said. He also said that an attempt is being made in the country to spread hatred for Muslims in the country.

Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Daljit Chaudhary has directed Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanpur to register case against Rashtriya Ulama Council (RUC) president Aamir Rashadi Madni for allegedly inciting kin of terrorist killed in Lucknow.

The terrorist had sneaked into the Thakurganj locality of the UP capital that led to security forces, including the ATS men to surround the area. After around 12 hours long stand-off, the terrorist was asked to surrender by the police, but he did not do so. They responded by firing and ended up killing him, said Chaudhary. The cops had recovered 8 pistols, 630 cartridges, bomb-making instruments,pellets, timers and wires were recovered from the house in Haji Ali colony in Thakurganj where the terrorists were holed up. They also recovered 45 grams gold and foreign currency along with 3 passports.

However, the ADG had no confirmation of deceased terrorist having links with ISIS after initially saying he did. Commenting on killed terrorist’s ISIS link, Chaudhary said “We have no such evidence yet of any ISIS link.” Meanwhile, he confirmed that the suspect was a self proclaimed operative.

However, it was the Counter Intelligence Cell of the Telangana Police that tracked, monitored and intercepted calls and messages of the suspected terrorists for months. Although, their conversations never revealed anything about a plan to bomb the Bhopal-Ujjain Passenger train on Tuesday. Following the bomb going off on the train, the CIC informed the MP and UP DGPs about the identities and the locations of the terrorists. This led to the arrest of several members of the module in UP and MP.
